In the middle of more than 80 hectares (200 acres) - out of which 2 hectares is productive croft land - accessible by a private road of 1200 meters (0.75 miles), this intimate castle is newly built (finished in September 2010) with local stone and is… outstanding!
The region is rich with a variety of activities to enjoy such as mountaineering, climbing, canyoning, caving, rafting, kayaking, swimming, horseback riding, mountain biking, splendid hiking with beautiful wildlife, snowshoeing, hunting, fishing. It is also an extraordinary place to study geology or paleontology, or to simply relax.
Bird watchers will be pleased to observe raptors of all kind. Around the house, one can spot the bearded vulture (Quebranthahuseos), a symbol of the region, which is a species close to extinction.

It features an impressive 360° view; to the north, the Pyrenees with the Lost Mount (Monte Perdido), the second highest peak in the Pyrenees; to the east, two splendid lakes of almost 3000 ha (7410 acres); to the west, the Sierra of Guara national park; and to the south, the valley of Susia.
The “Casa Pacharán” is one hour from French (Piau-Engaly) and Spanish (Cerler-Benasque) skiing, near of the national parks of the Sierra to Guarra, Posets and Maladeta, Ordesa and Monte Perdido and 5 minutes from a beautiful reservoir.
Millions of years ago the sea, with its coral reefs and beaches, was spread out here. Today the limestone massifs and valleys come together in a majestic silence, filled with exceptional flora and fauna. You can also follow the traces of its rich natural past. The presence of the human life goes back to ancient times. The first tribes lived in the caves of this wonderful environment. Over the millennia the Celts, Romans, Muslims and Christians all lived here. They each left their unique mark which has enriched the cultural heritage of Sobrarbe and has allowed the region to keep it wild authenticity. The region is a paradise to discover. It is surrounded by charming villages and beautiful vistas where nature, history, art and culture collide.
